Quad, GmbH Becomes New Distributor of LRS, Inc. Products
September 2008, Braunschweig, Deutschland - Quad GmbH, one of the leading POS distributors in Germany, has agreed to be an official distributor of onsite paging products by Long Range Systems (LRS), Inc. of Dallas, Texas.
Since half of all POS systems sold in Germany go into the hospitality market, it is essential to continue to find new innovative products to satisfy this demanding clientele. The products manufactured by LRS fit the bill perfectly; and Quad became the official distributor of LRS products in early September of 2008. An important consideration in choosing LRS was its status as a market leader in the United States, and the long track record of its "hospitality hardened" products.
Quad was looking for a supplier that could provide complementary products to its IBM touch terminals. The success of these touch terminals in transforming the conservative German hospitality market towards accepting more modern, touch-based solutions, has paved the way for LRS to contribute its own unique on-site paging technologies to the market. As Quad’s longtime strategic policy is to provide its customers with leading brand name products, LRS now joins IBM, Epson, Metrologic, Cash Bases, Motorola, Star, Zebra, Datalogic, and many others in its portfolio.
LRS’ products have the advantage of being easily integrated into existing hospitality solutions, as well as, providing some interesting cross-selling options into other industries where pagers can be implemented. Discovering unforeseen uses for LRS products is something, which company president Andreas Wey, is looking forward to.
